I spent the night thinking of all the things I want to say to you, wondering if I will ever have the opportunity. What can I say about finding the other half of your soul walking around in a country across the ocean. Some days the phrase intimate stranger really starts to make sense, but then you have never felt like a stranger, not once. When I read your words I feel them moving through me and I realize I have always known you. It has been two years and despite the doubts and the knowledge that this may be all there is,what I feel has not faded. Life goes on, but you walk with me in all that I do. You always will. There is no poetry today, just the words straight from my heart and soul, words that I hope will find you across oceans and time.

My heart is adrift as I travel
floating away quietly
as the sky before twilight
reflects upon the water.
The colors of day the evening
paint their pictures on the still surface
as the sweet scent of flowers
fills the air around me.
I close my eyes and you are there
journeying with me these past days
whispering to me, reaching for me.
You find me in dreams
and in my waking hours
Always you are there with me
and my heart is filled with
the words I wish to say.
My pen will fill the paper
with the words for you alone
words only you will understand,
and one day I will drift upon the water
to where you wait for me.
The Glen of Imaal

Since you left I can still feel your kiss
Deep in a dream I have made my wish
To cross through time for a moment with you
Back to the valley where our love was to true
Hear my voice calling for you
As the world turns let it carry through
For I would my life to reach that far
And walk with you in the Glen of Imaal
Out in the darkness I can feel the drums
Thousands have looked to the payer of one
With this last hope let the battle be won
And damned me search with a safe return
hear my voice calling for you
As the world turns let it carry through
For I would give my life to reach that far
And take us both to the glen of imaal
Hear my voice calling for you
As the world turns let it carry through
For I would give my life to reach that far
And walk once more in the glen of imaal
And walk with you in the glen of imaal
I searched to see if this was linked to some kind of folklore but could find nothing at least so far. I can only credit the lyrics to Triniti who sings them. The words touched a place deep in my heart.
