Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
And round about him
The May-bushes are white.
Soft moss the pillow
For oh, a softer cheek;
Broad leaves cast shadow
Upon the heavy eyes:
There wind and waters
Grow lulled and scarcely speak;
There twilight lingers
The longest in the skies.
Young Love lies [...]

My love is constant without words, words that sometimes leave me, for just a while. When others might think I have forgotten, it does not matter. Through the hours and days, you are with me.
You awaken me to the sunrise and carry me to my sleep. Softly you move with me, my heartbeat tied to each breath you [...]

“Never has language seemed wondrous to me in another, or how you make me love language. Do we not speak to each other as the stars speak to earth and the earth to the stars? Just that our speech is not silence, not comic silence, but language, the language of human beings.” ~ By Rainer [...]

Tonight as I sat working
on the day’s tasks
your name came up,
why I can’t be sure
and I was told
quite out of the blue
that you were an obsession.
The words cut at my heart
as obsession is something
you have never been.
My life goes on, as does yours
and there is no mistaking
what I feel now
and what I have felt before.
Obsession [...]

My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.

How like a winter hath my absence been
From thee, the pleasure of the fleeting year!
What freezings have I felt, what dark days seen!
What old December’s bareness every where!
And yet this time removed was summer’s time,
The teeming autumn, big with rich increase,
Bearing the wanton burden of the prime,
Like widow’d wombs after their lords’ decease:
Yet this abundant [...]

It has been many nights since I have been alone in the blissful silence of the night, my thoughts my only companion. I sit trying to write the words to you, words I hope will help you understand what is in my heart and words that will bring you the true meaning of what I [...]

All beauty calls you to me, and you seem
Past twice a thousand miles of shifting sea,
To reach me. You are as the wind I breathe
Here on the ship’s sun-smitten topmost deck,
With only light between the heavens and me.
I feel your spirit and I close my eyes,
Knowing the bright hair blowing in the sun,
The eager whisper [...]

Come live with me and be my love,
And we will all the pleasures prove
That valleys, groves, hills, and fields,
Woods or steepy mountain yields.
And we will sit upon the rocks,
Seeing the shepherds feed their flocks,
By shallow rivers to whose falls
Melodious birds sing madrigals.
And I will make thee beds of roses
And a thousand fragrant posies,
A cap of [...]

I resurrected this one from an earlier post. As I was gazing at beautiful paintings of the night, it came to me and I remembered how much I loved it and him, of course.
O, my love
Come silently in the middle of the night
As gliding moonlight
With your tender touch
Bring sweet dreams to my eyes
O, my love, [...]
